How custom signature design works
English and pinyin signatures
01
Send your name and use
The exact spelling, where you will sign, and how easy it must be to write.
02
Get 3–4 directions
Different structures for the same name — cursive, cleaner, initials-led — on one proof sheet.
03
Refine one
Pick a direction; revisions adjust slant, size, joins and the finishing stroke.
04
Files and practice
Transparent PNG and JPG through a private link; practice sheets and video in the practice pack.
Chinese art signatures and name calligraphy
- Inquiry — Choose a package, confirm characters, and send a request list. Nothing is an order yet.
- Characters confirmed — We check the exact characters, simplified or traditional forms, and reading. English-to-Chinese naming is a separate step.
- Quote — A US-dollar quote follows the brief, hours, and licence. It is not a live FX conversion from Chinese yuan.
- Payment, then work — Payment is not available on this preview. When it exists, it will be confirmed by a server receipt, not by a thank-you page alone.
- Proof and revision — A watermarked proof is sent. Revisions stay inside the original brief.
- Delivery — Digital files go to a private link, not a public folder. Paper work, when offered, is packed and tracked separately.
Three name situations
A. Existing Chinese name: confirm glyphs, script variant, reading, and order.
B. English to Chinese: phonetic options first; writing starts after confirmation.
C. Meaning-led naming: a separate review, never a unique correct name.
Questions
Can I buy a piece from this website today?
No. This is an inquiry preview. There is no checkout. A named artist, real works, and a quote have to exist before work can start.
Are the gallery images handmade originals?
No. They are original digital demonstration layouts made for this preview. Each image is labeled. They are not scans of brush work and not paid commissions.
Do you copy famous calligraphers or sell their signatures?
No. Work is only for the client’s own name, or a name the client is authorised to commission. We do not imitate living or historical artists’ signatures, and we do not promise that a bank or court will accept an art signature.
I only have an English name. Can you invent the one correct Chinese name?
No single translation is the correct one. We can list phonetic options with notes after a name-service review. Writing starts only after you confirm the characters.
What is a revision, and what is a change of brief?
A revision adjusts the agreed name, layout, or weight. Changing the name, the phrase, the landscape subject, the use (for example from personal to packaging), or asking for a new composition is a change of brief and is quoted again. There is no unlimited revision.
Will this bring luck, raise a collection value, or act as my legal signature?
No. We do not promise fortune, investment value, or legal validity.
Who owns the copyright?
Personal display and gifting are the default. Commercial use, packaging, publishing, and trademarks are quoted separately. Exclusive copyright is not the default. The studio may show the work unless you ask for confidentiality before work starts.
